Abstract

Damage to electric motors, particularly in bearings, can cause production disruptions and
operational losses. This study develops an IoT-based vibration monitoring system using an ADXL345
accelerometer and an ESP32 microcontroller. The sensor measures acceleration in three axes, and
resultant and average values are calculated as indicators of motor condition. Data are transmitted every
5 seconds via MQTT and displayed on an OLED and monitoring application. Experiments were
conducted under three conditions: no load, unbalanced load (180°), and balanced load (360°). The
average vibration values obtained were 0.82 m/s², 30.94 m/s², and 11.44 m/s², respectively. A significant
increase occurs under unbalanced conditions, indicating potential early damage. The proposed system
effectively detects changes in motor conditions and supports predictive maintenance applications.
